User Research Coaching, With Startups in Mind

Gathering unbiased, reliable insights about users is essential for any business, but for startups it is a matter of survival. Yet many startups are not in a position to hire a dedicated researcher.

I serve as a coach who equips founders and their teams with the skills to do user research on their own.

​

My approach recognizes that user research in the startup environment needs to be three things:

​

  • Fast. Startups simply do not have time to spend weeks doing research.

  • Accurate. Research may inform fundamental decisions that shape a startup's destiny.

  • Business-Focused. The goal of user research is to help a new business achieve crucial milestones, like building the right MVP, or finding product-market fit.
